Займы, выделяемые Всемирным банком развивающимся странам на сокращение их задолженности. Они предоставляются только странам с огромным внешним долгом, начавшим осуществлять программы по оздоровлению экономики, одобренные Всемирным банком. Рамеры резервных займов определяются индивидуально, но обычно составляют примерно 25% средств, выделенных на трехлетнюю программу по оздоровлению экономики, или 10% общих размеров программы кредитования этой страны Всемирным банком.
